Black and White Street Photography
Some images just simply work better in black and white. This is often where the colour can be a distraction from the structure, or where the composition is very graphical in nature. I rarely set out to shoot a monochrome image, just sometimes I know it is simply how it should be.
When seeking monochrome images, we need to zone out the colour in order to see only levels of brightness, specifically the dark and the light.
“There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
